Sam has over a decade of experience in communications, specifically within a global development and business context. He is a former communications lead for Chatham House, the Bond INGO network, The Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative, and Arachnys Global Research. He has also worked for several years in the financial technology sector in London.
Sam has created and run communications and marketing campaigns for several global business and national governments including the Maldives, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. He has also worked on Africa-specific trade, investment and development projects with the Boston Consulting Group, and Traidcraft. For Traidcraft he ran a successful cotton campaign focussed on challenging the unfair market access rules affecting African cotton suppliers on the global market. The campaign was featured in the Observer, Financial Times, Huffington Post, Independent and several other global media titles.
