Communications Challenge

The IDPS and the New Deal was a ground-breaking global initiative to promote peace building and development and empower countries on their path out of fragility in line with the post-2030 UN Agenda. But it lacked a communications strategy and was faced with a complex set of competing audiences, messages and objectives. 

 

Aequitas Strategy

Aequitas helped the IDPS to map, prioritise and develop an in-depth understanding of their target audiences. We refined the IDPS’s key messages so that they would resonate with these audiences, and developed a ground-breaking communications strategy to stimulate renewed interest for the New Deal. 

 

Outcomes 

Through strategic media activity engaging both traditional and digital media, key international organisations and global platforms are now active endorsers of the New Deal including World Humanitarian Summit, UNDP Sweden, the Global Peace Index, ECDPM, Concern Worldwide UK, UN Inter-Agency Task Force on NCDs, Peace Ops CIC IIED and Council for European Studies.
