Aequitas worked with the Indigo Trust, one of the Sainsbury’s Charitable Trusts to introduce open data to the world of philanthropy in the UK. The Indigo Trust wanted Foundations to share their funding data so that better funding decisions could be taken to improve the impact of philanthropic giving. The Indigo Trust came to Aequitas with a goal to reach 80% of funders in the UK by value within 5 years.

Aequitas worked with the Indigo Trust to create the 360 Degree Giving brand and we developed a strategy to communicate objectives and messages to key audiences and influencers. Aequitas suggested constructing a standard that foundations and philanthropists could adhere to. We worked with the Trust until the cause was successfully taken over by NESTA to take forward.
